Underage car rental, please help me out?

I am a soldier going on leave from iraq pretty soon to VA.my personal vehicle is in texas where I am stationed.I am very responsible and dont really drink,dont ask i just dont lol,but im also only 20 years old. Does anyone out there kno where someone can get a freakin rental so i do not spend my 15 days out of hell sittin on my couch lol. Thank youUnderage car rental, please help me out?

I wish I could help you, soldier, but that's a tough one. At 21 it's more doable, but 20 is going to be difficult.

If you have a military email address, try sending an email directly to the big-name car rental companies, and asking them if they will make allowance for a soldier. It can't hurt!

If you know somebody over the age of 21-25 in the area have them rent the car and add you as an additional driver. This will work only at some car rental companies. Call ahead to see.
not going to happen, you need to be anywhere from 21-25 to rent a car, and have a major credit card. try to get someone to rent it for you
In general, car rental companies are required to rent to military personnel on official business, even if they're under 21. I don't know whether this would also apply for soldiers on leave. Perhaps you've already tried this, but you should call a few car rental companies, explain that you're in the military, and see what they say.
Many rental companies won't rent cars to folks under age 25. It's an insurance thing. They see younger adults as inexperienced %26amp; they probably don't want the risk. Anyway, you better have a credit card if you do find one. Debit cards have daily limits %26amp; they can't charge it if you damage the car or steal it. Thx for serving, but I don't have a clue who would rent you a car. If you were in IL, I'd lend you mine for a small arrangement. G'day!
