Cheap hotel & car rental in LA or Ontario CA?

We're going to the Rose Bowl Parade on New Years Day and will be flying from Mpls to LA or Ontario CA. Are there reasonable hotels and car rentals?Cheap hotel %26amp; car rental in LA or Ontario CA?
You must consider that the Rose Parade is ';THE'; event of the year in the Pasadena area so the local hotels / motels take advantage of it. You would probably find more reasonable lodging staying a few miles away and driving (or taking a bus) to the parade.

Rental car rates are competitive, but Enterprise is usually one of the less expensive.

LAX will is usually a lower air fare than Ontario, but Ontario (ONT) is easier, and more convenient to use. From Ontario you would just take the westbound I-10, to Ca-57 north, to I-210 west to Pasadena.

PS: Please leave the ';Lutefisk'; in Minneapolis. It tastes like boiled foam rubber.Cheap hotel %26amp; car rental in LA or Ontario CA?
Well, if you fly into LAX you might try Enterprise, I have had good luck with them. Avis and Hertz are good but they are toooo popular and the lines (even the ';Express'; lines) are way too long, esp. if a lot of flights come in at one time with people wanting cars..

Don't know any hotels in Pasadena, except the Four Seasons which is one the top rated hotels in the city if you want to splurge...it may already be booked...
What is reasonable to you? I would look at Thrifty, Budget, or Enterprise for a car rental. Hotels are in the eye of the beholder. You can go for Motel Hell(I mean Six) or shop online for a better deal. Try http://www.sidestep.com

I've had good luck with them in the past

Hope it helps!
When I shopped car rentals in South California from LAX and San Jose, I found some great deals with Fox Rental Cars.

For hotels, you could always check hotels.com or priceline.com

I imagine it'll be a hard time of year to find to good of deals, so you might figure out what you need and want and make some phone calls.
