I booked a plane tocket via travelocity as a last minute deal with a car rental. What happens if I do not use the car rental? What happens if you book a plane ticket with a car rental but do not use the rental??
Usually the terms of the agreement specify that you will either pay the full the fee for the car rental, or some largish portion of it.What happens if you book a plane ticket with a car rental but do not use the rental??
Depends on the original agreement and any restrictions and what venue you pruchased the ticket for example Priceline would have a different agreement. Some have a concellation policy but it has to be in a certain time frame. Other than that you are limited.
You most likely will not get your money back, if you are lucky you might get some kind of refund but you can also request a voucher/credit to use the rental another time. And if you have any frequent traveler relationship they may be more willing to work with you
They'll likely try to make you pay for it and threaten you if you don't. Travel companies are terrible for this.
In December I booked a holiday to Ibiza in May and decided not to go so I phoned up and told them I wanted to cancel. I didn't care about the 拢50 I'd paid as a deposit but they said I'd have to pay the full holiday price as a cancellation fee.
I refused, they threatened me with their debt collectors. I said go on then call your debt collectors. That was 3 Months ago still waiting to hear from them.
Main point, travel companies use bullying and every other tactic in the book to try and get money out of you.
Don't give them any more money, but if you've already paid in full for the car rental, you're probably too late.
Dude its not looking good for you... ill try to sell ticket and buy new one if prices are better?
Hey at least you wont have to buy petrol ;)
I think if you don't use it, they won't give you your money back. They assume you just missed the pickup date.
If you don't use the car rental, you're just out the money!
Sorry.
