you could try asking one of the big rental companies but somehow I doubt it very much ... you might be able to hire a car in Dublin and drop it off at the ferry terminal in N Ireland, then hire another car from the ferry terminal in Scotland and drop it off in Edinburgh ... at least this would save you the cost of the vehicle on the ferry ... usually hire companies charge an extra fee for hiring in one place and dropping it off in another to cover the cost of relocating itCar Rental from Dublin, through N. You are traveling across 3 different countries so you will pay a BIG surcharge, if they let you do it in the first place, which I doubt.
