Is it possible Through Car Rental Companies, To Rent a Car in Los Angeles and drive it to New York,...?

Then leave the car there with its Branch in NY.Is it possible Through Car Rental Companies, To Rent a Car in Los Angeles and drive it to New York,...?
Not ALL companies do one way trips. Most also are limited to the surrounding area. The only ones that I know that actually do one ways without exorbitant fees are Hertz and Alamo. They do charge higher rates then their normal daily rates. For LA to NY in four days, for example - Hertz would be about $750.

My friend priced Enterprise one way for 500 miles and they told him $350. They said the cars were branch specific and they would have to send someone up there to get it, hence the extra price. Is it possible Through Car Rental Companies, To Rent a Car in Los Angeles and drive it to New York,...?
yes, thats why in rental car lots the license plates are from all over the place. the car will eventually make its way back to California.
Yes all of the car rental companies allow a one way drop off. There is a drop off fee though. Usually it is around $25. Hertz, Alamo, all of the companies allow it.
I just checked with Hertz and you can rent a Mercury Grand Marquis for $635 per week

P/U LAX drop off JFK The regular price is $397.75 I didn't look for any discounts

However I just saved you $205.00

The best and cheapest way to rent any car is by not using an airport location, you can save as much as 50% on a rental . The downside of all that is that they may not be open when you need them to be and they may not have the choice of cars you want

So Hertz asked for a zip code, I typed in the most famous one 90210 and discovered that you can rent the Mercury from Amtrak's Union Station in LA for $430.99 per week w/ a drop off at JFK

The Merc is the perfect long distance high-speed American road machine .It will do 85mph all day long in safety and comfort and get 25-27 mpg in the process.

Just a nice car for a long trip it's almost as nice as my Town Car.

As a rule any rental over 4 days is going to be the same price as a week so I figured it that way.

Realistically you can drive LA-NYC in 80 hrs or so. I've done it in 56 but that was chemically aided and took me a day and a half to recover from it.
Yes it is, but here are a few tips: #1 Some licsensee locations will charge a one way fee, that could be up to $500 DEPENDING on the location. Do your homework. #2, DO NOT return at any other location besides the one stated at the time of rental unless told otherwise. This could result in an even higher fee. #3 DO NOT intentionally trash the car, some locations charge a $80 clean up fee. #4 Look for the best rate, Dollar and Thrifty are cheap, but the service is mediocre. Make sure you know the millage charge so you dont end up paying $.35/mile. It can all add up to a crazy amount. I used to supervise a rental car location, I saw one lady get charged $900 for a bill that was supposed to be $250 because she broke a lot of rules you wouldn't think exist. Bottom line, she was pissed.
Yup, you can! Make the reservations far enough in advance (4-6wks, maybe more) for the rental company to have a vehicle ready when you need it. Ask questions before committing to the reservation about fees, locations, etc. Drop it off with a full tank of fuel at its NY location %26amp; have fun along the way!!
