Car Rental One Way Early Return?

Hi,





I am planning to rent a car for a one way trip, say from SFO to LAX. I do not know the actual time of return, so to play safe, i rent for 24hrs instead of selecting the exact time to return. Is there any fee for early return penalty? since it is the same rate even i rent it for 8hrs or 24hrs. I am looking at avis and budget currently.

The rates are slightly higher on one way rentals. 24 hours id plenty of time to drive the 400 miles from SFO to LAX. Note that Enterprise, Alamo, and Budget are usually the lower cost rental companies. Avis tends to be rather high. There is no early return penalty.Car Rental One Way Early Return?
There would be no early return fee... you pay for a minimum of 1 day ; you can return it anytime within 24 hours of pickup for the same price.
I don't think so but check their websites for info. Read their terms and conditions carefully. I think all you will pay is the daily fee plus any surcharges for a one way rental.
